Lake Bonham News: Texas State Parks To Allow Overnight Camping
Texas State Parks will begin allowing overnight camping beginning May 18, according to a news release by Texas Parks & Wildlife. The plan is part of a wider effort to reopen the state of Texas.
Limited Reservations
Limited overnight camping is scheduled to begin allowing for limited reservations at Texas State Park locations. Each overnight camping site location will follow guidelines based on occupancy levels. Occupancy will be allowed in such a way as to prevent overcrowding and still hold the ability to manage social distancing. Continued & Frequent Cleanliness
Each park location will maintain continued and frequent cleanliness for visitors. The primary goal is to ensure all visitors will have access to safe campsites, cabin areas, and restroom locations. Safety for visitors and staff is of the utmost importance.
Visitor Guidance
Visitors are encouraged to maintain safe social distancing practices. And, they are to continue to adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines for travel. Recommendations continue to include wearing facemasks, hand wash regularly, and use hand sanitizer as needed. Group gatherings are limited to no more than five people.
Pre-Purchase Day Passes & Overnight Camping Permits
